Airbus A340 & Boeing B747 Passenger Trolley Module
The Passenger Trolley module is designed to carry up to two people or one person on a stretcher from the ground position to the top of the Airstair at the aircraft door entrance. The module is equipped with the latest electronic technology based on FPGA and wireless controls and interfaces. Its controller accepts commands from either the control panel located on the Passenger Trolley module or the Airstair / lift module control panel located inside the aircraft main cabin. The system is self-powered using two aircraft type batteries.
The module is equipped with a door that can be deployed as a Ramp to be used by the passenger to get into the Trolley. There are two automatic latches controlled by the main controller that will lock the door in place. The battery monitoring circuitry provides feedback to the user regarding the status of the batteries used in the Trolley module. The Passenger Trolley module had been successfully installed, operated and FAA approved on Airbus A340 and Boeing B747 aircrafts.
